Whata Night!
So it's 10pm and I should be in bed- being prego and all- however I am worried about Jade... to start Jade got his new big boy trundle bed 2 weeks ago and has been doing excellent sleeping in it! He hadn't fallen off and loved his new bed- so we figured that we could skip the whole bed rail stage... well- last week we had one incident where he fell off cried and went back to sleep. Yesterday morning Jason heard him crying "Daddy" and was on the floor- obviously fell off the bed. Well this morning I go in Jade's room to wake him up and he's not on his bed. He was sound asleep on the pillows I had laid on the floor. Again, fell off the bed.... ahhh, so tonight I went to Babies R Us and bought bed rails before we occur a broken bone. So it's 9pm and Jade was about to go to sleep- Jason is installing Jade's bed rail and Jade walks (or runs) in his room, trips over the big pillows on the floor and slams right into the wall. OOCH! He cries so hard and finally settles down. (I had just gotten finished reading in my Parents magazine the article "When to call the Doctor" and so I re-read the section on head trauma) Jason and I decide he's ok but will keep him up for a little while to watch him. Jade loving his new bed is now jumping on his bed and rolling around- I step out for 2 seconds and Jade is crying so hard again- his nose looks all smashed and he proceeds to tell me that now his head, nose, and chin hurt. All over evaluation happens and so we were all laying in our bed watching Jade's favorite Olympic sport- swimming. I was ready to go to the Dr.- Jason tried to convince me that he is ok. So needless to say Jade is asleep now and I am worried sick about him!! These Boys!!! And yes, Jade got a big shiner on his forehead!!

Poor Jade. That what boys do best, get hurt. I glad you got the bed rail. That should really help with the night time falls. As long as his bump is not sunken in it should be okay. I am sure you did this, but ice should really help. Being a mommy is not always fun. Talk to you soon.
