Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter- laid back and just enjoying family. There is a reason that I've slacked on the blog.... I've been sick-yuck! This year seems to be hard on Jason and I. Allergies? Colds... who knows. Luckily the little ones have handled well.

Saturday before Easter my mother-in-law's and the kids and I went to the mall and had a traditional Easter pic. I just love this pic! Aside from Jade just completly hating the Easter bunny look this is totally my kids. Jade has suffered from the terrible two's (and three's?) and Brooklyn just loves to stare at her brother. I love capture them growing up! We went back to our house after and did some late night egg coloring. Jade thought this was cool!
Easter Sunday we went to my mother-in-law's and had a brunch and some egg hunting. And around 5pm a little rabbit hopped into their yard. It was perfect!
Happy Easter!

The little things that make me smile

Like father like son. Look closely at this duo. Jade and Jason both relaxing watching Horton I believe with chap-stick in their hands. It's the little things.

And who know how much little Missy would complete our family. I always knew I wanted a little girl. But to have Brooklyn is by far a dream come true.

Date Night

Jason and I spent one night uninterupted at the Gaylord Texan hotel. This is the same hotel that we spend alot of our time getting family pictures done, spending muliple days at during the holiday, and the same place that our son loves to visit to see the train! "Baylord" in Jade's vocab! Jason and I arrived around 5pm with dinner reservations at the Old Hickory Steakhouse at 6:15pm. Not only was the steak the best I've had in years but the 1st meal since Brooklyn's been born that was still hot when I took my 1st bite- aammazing! We enjoyed coffee (and ice cream for me!) on our atrium view balcony afterwards.

We slept in til 9:30am! Dressed and ate lunch and stopped by the local mall to dress our forever changing 2 3/4 year old! He's already in 3T!! I have never felt so rested and fresh. We are forever greatful for my mother-in-laws who will even change their plans to watch our precious children.
